Add-on Module for Importing DWG files
Brief
This module was implemented for a proprietary 3D modelling application to import drawings made in Autodesk® AutoCAD® – DWG files. The module accesses the content of a DWG file by means of API provided by ObjectDBX™ library. Due to big differences in the object model of the application and the AutoCAD®, this module reads a DWG file, constructs primitives using intermediate model representation, applies attributes to constructed primitives, establishes links between primitives and than writes an output file in proprietary format.
